are now showing in the New Clairvaux Abbey in Vina, Northern California. Fabbri portrait drawings of William Randolph Hearst & Thomas Merton, are also showing in the Oliva wine tasting room of the Abbey. The portrait paintings are included in the historic SacredStones.org renovation project, a reformation of carved stones from the 12th century Spanish Abbey, Santa Maria de Ovila, currently being rebuilt. View photos. The stone walls of the Abbey were bought in Guadalajara, Spain, by San Franciscan, William Randolph Hearst (RIP 1863-1951). The stones were shipped to the San Francisco bay in 1931, and placed in the Golden Gate Park for the last 70 years. Recently the stones were trucked to Vina, CA. Now standing again in the original form and purpose, as well as one of the oldest buildings in the United States. The monks maintain and harvest over 500 acres of vineyards.
